FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What areas does Continental serve?
That covers water well drilling and service across a wide range of conditions, from coastal Louisiana to the piney woods of Mississippi and the flatlands of east Texas and Arkansas. If your site falls within our four-state footprint, we can send a crew to it.
Is Continental licensed and insured?
Insurance means the liability sits with us if something goes wrong on your property. We’re glad to provide proof of licensing and current certificates of insurance before any work begins.
How long does well installation typically take?
It depends on the scope. Continental can drill, case, and complete a residential water well in as little as one day. A large municipal, industrial, or oil and gas project can take up to six months depending on a variety of factors that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- It may involve deeper drilling.
- It may need larger casing.
- It may also have a more complex design.
The variables are depth, geology, well casing (the steel pipe that lines the borehole), permitting, and the design. Once our technician reviews your site, we provide a realistic timeline rather than a guess.
How do I know if I need a new well or just a repair?
Others point to replacement: a collapsed casing, a dry aquifer, or a well that has simply reached the end of its service life. That’s why we send a service technician to investigate before we recommend anything. We’d rather diagnose the well correctly than sell you a new one you don’t need.
